Again

It comes with certain
sadness–I realize
I likely won’t sit next to you again,
won’t sit next to you again,
and won’t sit next to you again.
We’re heading in different directions.
You’ll go on to greater things,
you will go on to greater things.
I’ll probably head back to a downtown
somewhere
and die again,
to die again.

  1. I have not visited you in a while. Cancer BS here on my end. Seeing a light, finally. I love your writing. So real and honest. You pour out emotion through simple words and images and every time, it touches me. Every time. I hope, fervently, that if you die, again, that you are like a phoenix.

  2. sorry, 79– my comment above on you as phoenix …. it is from Harlequin. Some how, wordpress will not let me leave my blogger name. Namaste.
